LEGACY RECIPE/PHOTO
ALBUM KITS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
|
|
| What
supplies would I need to make up an album? |
You will need a 3-ring binder, Clear Sheet Protectors
(Open at the top and 3-hole punched), paper
for your printer (regular copy paper, 84 bright,
works fine), Double-Coated Tape (to tape the
recipe cards and photos to their respective
pages), a scissors, a paper trimmer and a non-bleed
pen in a color which will suite the artwork
design you have chosen. |
|
| I
would like to include some old letters and photos
in my album - will there be a page where I can
insert them? |
We include a blank page with the same decorative
border to which you can attach any miscellaneous
documents. We have also included a 5" x
7" photo outline page, which is generally
used for a photo frame. This page may provide
a fit for some of your old photos. |
|
| What
paper is best to use for this project. |
|
We have found that regular copy paper works
fine.   If you would like to see how the
artwork looks on your paper, you can print
out one of the example corners that we show
on our Recipe/Photo
Album CDs page.
An example of each design is displayed.
|
| Here
is how you print one of these artwork examples:
First, right click on the image, select "Save
Image As" and save the image to your desktop.
Then click on the file (e.g. creamlacesample.jpg)
on your desktop to view it. When the image shows
up on your screen, go to File, Print, to print
out the sample artwork on your paper. |
|
| What
size photos does the artwork accommodate? |
| Our
pages are designed to accommodate 4" x
6" photos in either portrait or landscape
mode. However, we have also included a 5"
x 7" photo outline page designed to be
used as a photo frame in either portrait or
landscape mode. This page may also be used for
5" x 7" photos within your album,
depending upon how you set up the direction
of your photos. The outline for the 5"
x 7" photo page accommodates a photo that
is 5" wide by 7" deep.

|
| How
do you recommend cutting out the recipe cards? |
A paper trimmer is best; however, you can also
use scissors that provide a decorative effect.
It all depends upon how you want your album(s)
to look. |
|
| What
type of album do you recommend? |
There are many decorative binders to choose
from in the stores. Your choice will depend
upon the occasion for which you are giving this
gift - perhaps a color to match the kitchen
colors of the recipient. |
You
can also choose a plain view binder. A view
binder is a hardbound 3-ring binder with see-through
covers in which you can insert your own paper.
If you use a view binder, you can drop a title
page into the front cover and a blank decorative
page into the back cover. In this way, you will
have decorative covers that match your inside
pages.
