• If the mother has decorated the baby's room with a particular theme, encourage coordinated gifts by using the same theme for the baby shower.
  
  
• The new Mom will be so busy after the baby is born. She won't have much time to spend cooking! Have the guests help her by bringing a recipe to the Shower...make those recipes short and easy!
  
  
• Scrapbook shower.   Have each guest bring a photo of themselves with the parents-to-be, and/or a letter, poem, friendship history or advice on care of a newborn.   Put the scrapbook together at the shower.
